Concrete Sidewalk Removal & Replacement to Begin on West Side of Navy Boulevard

Work Completed This Week:
·         Saw-cutting existing concrete sidewalk and curb & gutter
·         Removal of existing trees along curb & gutter

 Upcoming Work Anticipated to be Completed:

Zone 1 (Aviator Lane to Navy Boulevard)
Businesses within zone include: Curragh, Flight, Mingle Juice Bar, Potbelly’s, ArcLight Theaters, Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream, The Candy Crossing, Yard House, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Ulta, Carter’s.

Construction will start at Aviator Lane and work north to Navy Blvd.

Monday (3/28) thru Wednesday (3/29)
·         Removal of existing concrete sidewalk adjacent to buildings
o   Temporary stone access ramps will be provided at all access points for businesses
·         Installation and grading of new aggregate base course
·         Installation of concrete forms for concrete sidewalk
·         Installation of reinforcement along buildings 

Wednesday (3/29) and Thursday (3/30) Late Afternoon / Early Evening
·         Pour concrete sidewalk adjacent to buildings
o   Pedestrian access will be allowed on sidewalks at start of business the morning following concrete pour
·         Loudest noise anticipated during concrete pouring: Back-up alarms of concrete trucks
·         Access to businesses with be coordinated individually 

Zone 2 (Navy Boulevard to Valor Drive)
Businesses within zone include: Justice, Von Maur, Glenview Jewelers, Wet Nose, Skin Deep, Gordon Salon, Eggsperience, Glen Town Center Management Office, Funtopia. 

Construction will start at Navy Boulevard and work north towards Valor Drive 

Tuesday (3/29) thru Friday (4/1):
·         Removal of existing concrete sidewalk adjacent to buildings
o   Temporary stone access ramps will be provided at all access points for businesses
·         Installation and grading of new aggregate base course
·         Installation of concrete forms for concrete sidewalk
·         Installation of reinforcement along buildings

Early week of April 4th:
·         Pour concrete sidewalk adjacent to buildings
o   Pedestrian access will be allowed on sidewalks at start of business the morning following concrete pour
·         Loudest noise anticipated during concrete pouring: Back-up alarms of concrete trucks
·         Exact dates to be determined and coordinated with businesses.

On-street parking along west side of Tower Drive will be limited, please utilize parking garages to the greatest extent possible.

Flaggers will be present in the southbound lanes of Tower Drive, please use caution and drive carefully.

All scheduled work is weather dependent. Every effort will be made to provide notifications due to schedule changes.
